🚀 Getting Started

Welcome to SubDeck! This guide will help you set up and use SubDeck to manage all your online subscriptions efficiently.

What is SubDeck? SubDeck is a browser extension that automatically detects and manages your online subscriptions, sends you reminders before billing, and helps you avoid unwanted charges.

📥 Installation

Firefox

  1. Visit the Firefox Add-ons store
  2. Search for "SubDeck" or click the download link from our website
  3. Click Add to Firefox
  4. Confirm the installation by clicking Add
  5. The SubDeck icon will appear in your browser toolbar

Chrome / Edge

  1. Visit the Chrome Web Store (or Edge Add-ons)
  2. Search for "SubDeck"
  3. Click Add to Chrome (or Get for Edge)
  4. Confirm by clicking Add extension
  5. Pin the extension to your toolbar for easy access

💡 Tip: Pin SubDeck to your toolbar for quick access. Right-click the extension icon and select "Pin".

⚙️ First-Time Setup

Step 1: Welcome Screen

When you first install SubDeck, you'll see a welcome screen explaining the key features.

Step 2: Account Registration

To use SubDeck, you need to create an account:

  1. Click Register on the onboarding screen
  2. Enter your email address
  3. Create a secure password
  4. Confirm your password
  5. Click Create Account

Why register? Registration enables cloud sync, allows you to access your data across devices, and ensures you can recover your subscription data if needed.

Step 3: Initial Scan

After registration, SubDeck will automatically scan your browsing history to detect existing subscriptions:

  1. Click Start Scanning
  2. Wait for the scan to complete (usually takes 10-30 seconds)
  3. Review the detected subscriptions
  4. Click Continue to proceed

⚠️ Privacy Note: SubDeck only scans for known subscription services. Your browsing history is processed locally and is not uploaded to our servers unless you enable cloud sync.

Viewing Your Subscriptions

Click the SubDeck icon in your toolbar to open the popup and view all your subscriptions.

Adding a Subscription Manually

  1. Open SubDeck popup
  2. Click the + Add Subscription button
  3. Fill in the subscription details:
    • Service Name: e.g., Netflix, Spotify
    • Billing Amount: Monthly cost
    • Currency: USD, EUR, TWD, etc.
    • Billing Cycle: Monthly, Yearly, etc.
    • Next Billing Date: When you'll be charged next
  4. Click Save

Editing a Subscription

  1. Click on the subscription you want to edit
  2. Update the information
  3. Click Save Changes

Deleting a Subscription

  1. Click on the subscription
  2. Click the Delete button
  3. Confirm the deletion

Enabling Cloud Sync
