Terms of Service

Important Notice: SubDeck is developed and operated by an independent developer. We are committed to providing quality service and support, with typical response times of 3-5 business days.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By installing, accessing, or using SubDeck ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Service Description

SubDeck is a browser extension that helps users manage their online subscriptions by:

  • Automatically detecting subscription services from browsing history
  • Tracking billing dates and amounts
  • Sending reminders before billing
  • Providing optional cloud sync functionality

3. License and Subscription Plans

3.1 Free Version

The basic version of SubDeck is free to use with limited features.

3.2 Pro Subscriptions

We offer the following Pro subscription options:

  • Monthly: $0.99/month, billed monthly
  • Yearly: $9.99/year, billed annually
  • Lifetime: $29.99 one-time payment

3.3 Lifetime License Definition

Important: "Lifetime Access" means access to the Service for as long as the Service remains operational. It does NOT mean perpetual or indefinite access.

The term "Lifetime" refers to the operational lifetime of the Service, not the lifetime of the user. The Developer reserves the right to discontinue the Service at any time, subject to the terms outlined in Section 8 (Service Discontinuation).

4. Payment Terms

Payments are processed through third-party payment processors. We do not store your payment information. All sales are final except as described in the Refund Policy.

5. Refund Policy

5.1 Standard Refund Period

We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee for all paid plans. If you are not satisfied with SubDeck Pro, you may request a full refund within 14 days of purchase by contacting admin@subdeck.cc.

5.2 Refunds After 14 Days

After the 14-day period, refunds are generally not provided except in cases of service discontinuation (see Section 8).

6. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Use the Service in compliance with all applicable laws
  • Not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or hack the Service
  • Not use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials

7. Intellectual Property

SubDeck is open-source software. The source code is available under the terms specified in the project's repository. However, the SubDeck name, logo, and branding remain the property of the Developer.

8. Service Discontinuation

8.1 Right to Discontinue

The Developer reserves the right to discontinue the Service at any time for any reason, including but not limited to:

  • Technical challenges or infrastructure costs
  • Financial constraints
  • Personal circumstances
  • Changes in browser extension policies

8.2 Notice Period

In the event of service discontinuation, users will receive at least ninety (90) days advance notice via:

  • In-extension notifications
  • Email (if provided)
  • Website announcement

8.3 Refund Policy for Service Discontinuation

No Monetary Refunds: In the event of service discontinuation, no monetary refunds will be provided for Lifetime licenses or active subscriptions.

However, the Developer commits to providing the following:

  • 90-Day Notice: Advance notification to allow users to export their data and find alternatives
  • Full Data Export: Complete functionality to export all subscription data in JSON format
  • Open-Source Release: The extension code will be made publicly available (if not already) to allow community continuation or self-hosting
  • Documentation: Guidance for self-hosting or migrating to alternative solutions (if technically feasible)

This policy reflects the individual operation nature of SubDeck and industry-standard practices for indie developer software.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

  • The Service is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind
  • The Developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by the user in the 12 months preceding the claim
  • The Developer is not responsible for data loss, though reasonable efforts are made to prevent it

10. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Users will be notified of significant changes through the extension or website. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the extension. We may terminate or suspend your access if you violate these Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Taiwan, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
